THE SMALL PRINT, MADE USEFUL

Built for choosing.

This static guide contains 84 films and shorts programs across 139 screenings from the official AFF schedule. Switch between the original Grid and a compact List above the results; your view preference is remembered in this browser. Both views use the same filters and saved picks. All categories are shown by default. Use the Include checkboxes to hide shorts, Dark Matters, or retrospectives. Shorts are grouped into their scheduled programs; individual films are listed in program details when available.

Attendance is screening-specific. Cast credits do not mean an actor is attending. “Actors attending” matches listed attendees against credited cast across this guide, with a small verified actor list. No attendee listed means attendance is unconfirmed, not that nobody will be there.

“Picked up” means a confirmed distributor is listed. It does not promise a release date. A “Rights acquired” tag describes a reported rights acquisition, without assuming a confirmed U.S. distributor.
Release dates are U.S. dates. Early-viewing days are calculated from each AFF screening to the first exact date recorded here. For Bunker and Iron Boy, an earlier December qualifying run has no exact date here; the cards identify the later opening used. Limited releases may not include Austin. All 62 new features have been checked. “No U.S. release announcement found” means our search found none, not that the film is unsold. Overseas releases, tentative plans, and individual special screenings are described separately and are excluded from early-viewing calculations. Individual shorts’ release dates have not been researched.

Premiere labels describe the first AFF screening. World means the first public showing worldwide; U.S. and Texas designate the first showing in that territory. Earlier festival listings are linked in details, with dates where verified. This research covers features without an identified distributor or rights buyer; it does not imply they are unsold. A missing earlier festival is not proof that a film has never screened. Shorts programs contain multiple films and are not assigned a single premiere status. Retrospectives remain marked as previously released.

Screening times are the full scheduled blocks, which may include introductions and Q&A. Runtime is the length of the film itself.

Your data stays in your browser. Saved films, planned screenings, and notes use local storage. Each visitor has their own picks; nothing is shared with other visitors. Download your picks to move them between devices. This guide does not reserve festival tickets or sync with Sched.
